Director: Amar Kaushik
Cast: Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana
Synopsis: Amar Kaushik’s directorial debut Stree is indeed funny. This movie will make you laugh whole time. This movie depicts the story of a young man Vicky (Rajkumar), who falls in love with a girl (Shraddha) with a mysterious background. Stree accounts the difficulties faced by Vicky in unveiling her mystery.
In the Chanderi village, rumors about a witch spreads. As per the locals the urban legend of Stree grips the town. The witch lures men at night during a four-day Hindu annual festival and take them away by leaving behind clothes only. The only way for men to save themselves from the widely feared spirit is by scribbling the message, 'O Stree Kal Aana' on the walls of their houses.
Direction & Editing: Director Amar kaushik and Cinematographer Amlendu Choudhary have done a great job! Direction wise, frame to frame the movie is really good. Editing is ok ok!
Music: Music and songs are really melidious! Dance number ' Milegi Milegi' is alredy a big hit also 'Nazar Na Lag Jaye' is a very romanticvibes to it. 'Aao Kbhi Havelui Pe' and 'Kamariya' are just okay!
Weakness: Though they have got magnificent storywriters like Raj Nidimoru and Krishan DK on the board, still the story is weak and lacks in interest. If you are not a horror fan and still want to watch a quite normal horror genre movie than Stree will suit your taste.
Rating: 2.5/5 Stars!
