‘Sharara-Gharara’! Check Out This Hottest Trend Of 2018

New Year brings with itself new beginnings and new fashion trends. As the winter sun will make its way for vibrant spring and dreadful summer, it is time to reinvent your closet with some ethnic trends. Today’s blog is all about two of the popular Pakistani outfits which are ‘Sharara’ and ‘Gharara’.

When it comes to desi style, I am always looking up to celebrities for inspiration.

The sharara and its look alike partner the gharara are one of my current fashion inspirations. They are typically Pakistani occasion’s outfits. The sharara and the gharara are distinctive in looks. Both of them are being reworked and recreated by top Indian designers. You may see the change in the length of the kurtas while the pants remain the same in length.

After keeping an eye on the latest fashion trends in India, the year 2018 is dedicated for “Shararas” and “Ghararas”. I can even say that shararas are here to stay and will make you feel even more feminine!

From shirt-length to long and sweeping, sharara styles include a variety of personalities. You can either wear them with a cotton kurta or you can team it up with silk and embellished kurtas for a more festive feel.

Going by the fashion forecast for 2018, the beautiful jutties, traditional polka jewelry and a classic potli would be perfect accessories to complete this look.

They are way ahead with their style game and are on to a trend straight off the runway. This time at #LakmeFashionWeek I saw a revival of the outfit that is flared pants that are usually worn with a kurta. Even recent collections by designers like Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Sanjay Garg showcase the renewal of sharara and its baby sister style gharara.

According to me, both shararas and ghararas are quite versatile and can even take your style quotient to a next level. Whether you wear them in the same print or contrasting style, the cut itself is quite trendy.

You can tell me which one of these looks will you try out this festive season in the comments below!
