1. AULI –
If you want to experience ‘Skiing’ on your trip to Uttarakhand then Auli is one of the best places to visit with your friends and family. The perfect time to visit this place is from November to February as it witness heavy rainfall. The tourists can enjoy the panoramic views of some of the highest Himalayan peaks – Nanda Devi, Kamet, Mana Parvat, and Dunagiri. All these tourist spots can make Auli an awe-inspiring destination in India.
This place in Uttarakhand is the starting point for Tungnath and Chandrashila treks. Chopta is truly a perfect combination of adventure and tranquility. If you are in search for a place away from the hustle-bustle of city life then this small place in the mountains is the ideal getaway destination for you. Other than trekking, tourist can enjoy yoga, photography, birdwatching and camping here. The Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary is a must visit place in Chopta.
Being a perfect example of rich culture and adventure, Chamoli is famously known as the “House of Gods”. Experience the dramatic landscapes of Chamoli along with freezing cold temperature. This place is so LIT for the backpackers. Don’t forget to take a trek to Valley of Flowers National Park and Hemkund Sahib.
Famous as a PARADISE for the Trekking Junkies, “Binsar’ is a small town in Uttarakhand. Watch the snow capped Himalayan peaks with the backdrop of picturesque valleys. Those who are looking for an adventure filled trip go to Binsar and enjoy hiking, trekking, local sight-seeing, jeep safari and more.
Chaukori is an oyster for peace lovers! This is underrated tourist destination of India is famous for its diverse flora and fauna and also for lush green tea gardens. The sunrise and sunset from the mighty peaks of Nanda Devi, Panchachuli, Nanda Kot, Trishul, and Chaukhamba will leave you awestruck.
Rudraprayag or the “Land Of Shiva” lays at the convergence of the two rivers i.e. Alaknanda and Mandakini. This place is the perfect blend of temples and Hindu mythology. If you are more into religion then visit some of the famous temples like Rudranath Temple, Chamunda Devi Temple, Koteshwar, and Basukedar here. Other things to experience here are river rafting, spiritual pilgrimage and backpacking. Accommodation in Rudraprayag is economical and easy to find.
7. KEDARKANTH TREK-
This one of the best treks in Uttarakhand is recommended for all adventure souls who like snow and High Mountains, irrespective of the prior experience. Beginners are more than welcome. This trek is ideal for anyone who’d love to walk amidst snow laden mountains and giant pines.
This romantic getaway as well as destination for family vacations will bring out the hidden PAHARI in you. This old town has a lot to offer to its tourists including the winter sunshine pouring through thin mountain air, coupled with the colonial architecture which adds even more charm to this place.
