Exfoliate Your Skin with These DIY Body Scrub Recipes

Who doesn’t want a naturally soft and glowing skin?

But despite all the new products and trends being available, women remain unsatisfied with their skin. Know why? Because they don’t know what exactly their body need in terms of nourishment. Most of you must have a much disciplined skincare regime that you strictly follow. No matter how much you take care of your skin, still it asks for something more.

Here comes the ‘BODY SCRUBS’!

Body scrubs are wonderful for exfoliating dead skin. They not only clean your pores but also leave you with soft, smooth, and younger-looking skin.

They're on your body for just minutes before washing away down your drain. Also they are not heavy on your pocket. But instead of using chemical products available in the market, you can simplify your life and reduce your beauty budget by making your own all-natural body scrubs at home. The recipes are easy and often use common ingredients that may already be in your home.

I have brought some of the easy recipes of homemade scrubs!

Honey Sugar Body Scrub-

1/4 cup honey

1/2 cup sugar (specifically brown sugar)

2 tablespoons of your favorite oil

Steps to follow:

Even the very best spas tend to make their own scrubs using natural ingredients. Start with warming a jar of honey in the microwave for a few seconds until it becomes slippery. Now pour about 1/4 cup of the honey into a small bowl. Stir in 2 tablespoons of your favorite oil such as coconut oil, sweet almond oil, or even baby oil. Add about a 1/2 cup of sugar. Mix well and make a coarse paste.

Place some of the mixture in your palms and massage it in a circular motion all over your body. Rinse off in the shower.

Oatmeal Body Scrub-

You must have oatmeal in your breakfast. But how many of you have used this ingredient as a body scrub? Yes you heard it right! Oatmeal is one of the best natural exfoliates that you'll find in many commercial scrubs. It will not just help you to get rid of dead skin cells making it soothe and healed.

½ cup Uncooked Oatmeal

½ cup Brown Sugar

½ cup Raw Honey

¼ cup Jojoba Oil

2 drops Lavender Essential Oil

Steps to follow:

Grind the dry ingredients until you get a fine powder and into it mix the liquid ingredients. Make a paste and apply this paste gently onto your body. Take 5-10 minutes to gently massage and exfoliate your body, spending 1-2 minutes on each part. Wash the mixture off using a hydrating body scrub and lukewarm water.

Green Tea and Ginger Coffee Body Scrub-

¼ cup of Green Tea

½ cup of Ginger Juice

½ cup Sugar

Coconut oil

Steps to follow:

The green tea and ginger root sugar scrub recipe is as rejuvenating as it is exfoliating. You'll simply melt coconut oil and steep green tea in it. Add fresh coffee grounds and a little ground ginger, then freeze it. Pop out a cube before your shower and enjoy. This one is best when followed up with a therapeutic moisturizer and is made in ice cube trays for easy storage and use.
