Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh big fat Indian wedding is currently talk of the town. Their pre-wedding fun has finally started in Italy with a mehendi and sangeet ceremony on Tuesday. Before tying the knot on November 14 and 15, DeepVeer exchanged rings in a close-knit affair. It was a pretty emotional affair for Deepika Padukone. It will be a two wedding ceremony that means on November 14 the couple will marry according to Konkani customs, while on November 15 they will have a traditional Anand Karaj ceremony.
It is well known that Ranveer never fails to show his love for Deepika publicly. Now again showing his love Padmaavat actor even gave an emotional speech leaving his lady-love in tears. Deepika was seen getting all emotional during the wedding festivities. Bollywood singer Harshdeep Kaur performed in this ceremony. The husband-wife to be to be, Deepika and Ranveer wore an off white dress, Ranveer Singh choose a black suit designed by Sabyasachi.
Before heading to Italy, bride-to-be Deepika Padukone performed a traditional puja at her residence in Bengaluru. The photos of the ceremony were shared by designer Sabyasachi on his Instagram account with a heartwarming caption.
Well this extremely adorable love story began from the sets of Ranveer-Deepika’s first film together, “Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela”. Set to be happening at Italy’s CastaDiva Resort & Spa near Lake Como, every guest has been given a private villa for the wedding. In fact the lovebirds welcomed each one of them their guests personally along with a handwritten note.
The guest list only includes the names of Ranveer and Deepika’s close family and friends. Only a handful of celebrities (mostly performers) will be seen attending the event. Taking a sweet initiative, the duo has insisted guests to direct gifts in the form of a donation to Deepika's “The Live Love Laugh Foundation”.
According to the buzz, the couple will also host a wedding reception in Bengaluru and Mumbai for their friends and colleagues from the film industry. Deepika's younger sister Anisha Padukone showed her excitement by changing her Twitter and Instagram handle with the name “#Ladkiwale”.
On the work front, Deepika Padukone will be seen next in filmmaker Meghna Gulzar's untitled biopic on acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. While on the other side, Ranveer Singh will be back on screen with Rohit Shetty's action comedy ‘Simmba’ opposite Sara Ali Khan.
